In the 2022 Autumn Statement, the Government introduced a relief to support small businesses. This aims to help businesses that face an increase in their bill due to lost small business rates relief.
From the 1 April 2023 the Government have put into place a transitional relief scheme to limit and phase in increases in rate bills as a result of the 2023 revaluation
At the Spring Statement 2022, the Chancellor announced a new Heat Network Relief will apply from the 1 April 2022 for hereditaments being used wholly or mainly as a heat network which have their own rating assessment.
The 2024/25 Retail, Hospitality and Leisure business rates relief scheme will provide eligible, occupied, retail, hospitality and leisure properties with a 75% relief, up to a cash cap limit of £110,000 per business.
