Making a Request
A request under
FOIA
will need to be
submitted in writing, either by email, letter or via the following
link:
Freedom of Information Request
Online Form.
You must include your name and an address that you wish the
information to be sent to (either email or postal). You should
include as much detail as you can regarding the information you
wish to receive (the more information the better) and make
your request as specific as possible (requests that are too vague
or too wide ranging could be considered exempt).
Under the DPA an individual can request access to information
held about themselves, this is called a Subject Access Request. A
request under (
DPA)
also needs to be
submitted in writing, either by email or letter. You will be asked
to show two forms of identification and pay a fee of £10 for a
subject access request.
A request under
EIR
can be
made in writing or email but also verbally by telephone or face to
face. As with an
FOIA
request, the more
information you can supply and the more specific you can be about
your request the better. You will need to provide your name and how
you wish to receive the information.
