How Second Adult Rebate is calculated

Second Adult Rebate is calculated differently to Council Tax Benefit and is not based on the income, capital of circumstances of you and your household.  Instead, Second Adult Rebate is based solely on the gross income of your "second adult".  The table below gives details on the weekly percentage reduction in your Council Tax based on your "second adults" total gross weekly income.  Please note, if you are treated as having more than one "second adult", their total weekly income is added together.  You are not automatically entitled to this reduction and will have to make a valid claim for Benefit.  Please click here for details on how to claim.
