Payment of Second Adult Rebate

Payment of Second Adult Rebate made in the form of a debit or credit direct to your Council Tax account.

When Second Adult Rebate is awarded it is calculated as if Benefit was payable for the rest of the current financial year.  It is then credited to your account as a lump sum and a new bill will be issued detailing your revised payments.  Any payments you may have already made will be taken into account when working out how much Council Tax you have to pay.

You should receive a revised Council Tax bill within 7-10 days of your Benefit decision.  If you do not receive a revised bill following notification of Second Adult Rebate entitlement, please contact the Council Tax department on (01527) 881671.

Please note, if you or your households circumstances change and your Second Adult Rebate entitlement reduces or ends, the amount you have to pay will be re-calculated and a revised bill will be issued.
