First ever official LGBT History Month event for
Bromsgrove
A public
event in celebration of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender)
History Month will be supported by Bromsgrove District Council in
February.
The social networking evening at the Artrix
Theatre in Bromsgrove will be capped off by a screening of the
acclaimed landmark British film ‘My Beautiful Launderette’.
The event at the Artrix on Thursday 4th
February starts at 6.00pm with displays in the foyer and
socialising and light refreshments in the Studio Space upstairs
before the film, which starts at 7.30pm. The Studio Space will
remain open after the film for anyone that wants to stay and
mingle.
Heralded as one of Britain's most commercially
and critically successful films of 1986, My Beautiful Launderette
broke new ground with a bold exploration of issues of sexuality,
race, class and generational difference.
Tickets for the film are priced at £5.50/
£4.50 concessions. For tickets or further information please
contact the Artrix on 01527 577330 or visit their website http://www.artrix.co.uk/

Fire and Rescue, pinke.biz, the Gender Trust, Finding A Voice and
Unison.
