Free Christmas parking days announced

Parking will be free in Bromsgrove town centre on the two weekends before Christmas, including two market Saturdays.

On the weekend of December 17-18 and on Christmas Eve, drivers will not have to pay and display and the barriers at the entrance and exit of pay on foot car parks will be raised. Parking meters will be covered with black plastic to indicate that no payment for parking is required at that time.

Drivers are reminded that to ensure car parks remain safe and accessible at all times, all other normal car park rules will be in operation over the free periods.

Bromsgrove District Council portfolio holder for leisure, cultural and environmental services Cllr Michael Webb said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer residents and visitors to Bromsgrove a festive holiday from parking charges. Free car parking is always welcome, and it should be a boost for our traders too. I would urge everyone to support their local high street.”
