In 2008, the Councils own carbon footprint was 2,440 tonnes. We intend to reduce this by 2% year on year in the future.

In 2008 (the most recent data available), Bromsgrove District's carbon footprint was 568'000 tonnes – that's a footprint of 6.1 tonnes for each person who lives here. This is a reduction of 3.2% on our 2005 figures - and we have set a target to reduce this even further - by 9% over the next 3 years.

Bromsgrove District Council is signed up to 10:10; the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change Internet Image and the Worcestershire Climate Change Pledge Internet Image.
