Council Organisation
Apart from the 39 democratically elected Members of the
Council representing the various 'wards' within the District, the
officers working for the Council are organised within a number of
Departments/Service-areas.
Kevin Dicks is the Joint Chief Executive of both Bromsgrove
District Council and Redditch Borough Council and, as such, acts as
the Head of Paid Service for both authorities. Kevin is also
responsible for the strategic forward planning of the
Councils. A new Shared Management Team has been appointed and
will be responsible for giving advice and recommendations to the
Cabinet who, ultimately, make the decisions that drive the Council
forward.
In addition, Kevin is responsible for maximising the Councils'
resources (for example, relating to the budgets, facilities and
personnel.
