The Funshine Festival

This summer, Bromsgrove celebrated its first year of adult disability sport with an activity festival, open to all local people. The day involved a skill based boccia, lacrosse and curling tournament, followed by wheelchair basketball, fencing and dance activities, with local club Team Melia and Bromsgrove Blaze Basketball Club. The Jitterbugs dance club performed their latest work to open the after party, where participants received medals, enjoyed a buffet and had their picture taken with George Brunt, Special Olympics medallist in Idaho in Skiing and Golf. They raised £104 for Caudwell Children’s Charity.
