Wythall Walks ~ Walk more feel the
difference
Are you interested in joining
a group led health walk in your local area?
A new weekly walk lasting
about an hour will be starting from the car park at Wythall Park on
Wednesday 18th August at 2.00pm. Come along and
join in, have fun and get fitter.
Walking with a group is maybe
something that you have never thought about but did you know that
walking with a group led health walk can help you gain the
following benefits:
- Meet new people and make new friends in your local area
- Look after your health in a fun and friendly way in outdoor
settings
- Prevent disease, reduce stress, and manage your weight
effectively
- Reduce blood pressure, keep your heart strong, reduce the risk
of stroke
- Helps you feel good and sleep better
Walking is safe, enjoyable, and there
is a low risk of injury. It's free, requires no special
equipment and is accessible to all. Just come along with sensible
shoes and be prepared for the weather
We are also looking for
volunteers to become walk leaders and help lead the walks on a
weekly basis. If you would like to help, Walking for
Health is able to offer:
- Free volunteer walk leader training
- Free marketing and promotional material
- Free insurance for volunteers and all walkers
- Free ongoing advice and guidance
