Carer News - Financial Support

Carers Financial News Carers Allowance Increase If you spend at least 35 hours a week caring for someone with an illness or disability, you may be eligible for extra money called Carer’s Allowance. It is paid at a rate of £81.90 per week (2024/25).

  • Creative Writing

    A welcoming online creative writing session - sense of humour advisable, 'this is a great way to unwind, and be yourself for a couple of hours.' Join in as many or as few of the sessions as you wish. Read more

  • Care4Me

    When caring gets tough the first thing to suffer can be the carers own health and wellbeing and many carers really struggle to find the time and energy for their own self-care. We want to make this a little easier so we have brought together our most popular wellbeing sessions into one program and will be launching this in April. Our new Care4Me program is upbeat, and interactive it will bring carers together to explore a wide range of tried and tested self-care approaches. Read more
