Be Together Bromsgrove WEB-01

Community-minded residents are invited to have their say and join a range of voices which want to make a difference in the District.

Bromsgrove Engagement and Equalities Forum is an opportunity to get involved with projects and learn about how the District Council, its partners and local organisations, are supporting the community.

This community-led organisation meets on July 23rd and the Dementia Friends’ initiative is on the agenda as well as the perfect opportunity for networking.

Bromsgrove District Council Leader Margaret Sherrey said: “We want this to be an inclusive environment that recognises the importance of equality and the value that different voices can bring to improve the outcomes in our District.

“For this first meeting in particular we are keen that people of all ages and backgrounds attend as dementia can have an impact not only on the individual, but family, friends and the wider community too.”

The meeting will also see the launch of a pilot small grants scheme, open to groups and organisations that support community and equality outcomes. Come along to learn more; further details will be available online after the meeting.

The meeting runs from 6:15pm-8:30pm at the Council House, Burcot Lane with a chance to join other community members for networking refreshments from 5:30pm if you wish.

If you are interested in attending or would like further information, please contact the Policy Team on 01527 881616 or email equalities@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk
