2015 Armed Forces Flag Slider

The Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council has led residents' support for the men and women of the armed forces at a flag-raising ceremony ahead of Armed Forces Day.

Members of the public joined Cllr Caroline Spencer alongside local civic dignitaries and community representatives at the event at Crown Green in Bromsgrove town centre on Monday (June 22).

The commemorative flag will now fly for the week as part of a national initiative to raise awareness of the role of the armed forces, with Armed Forces Day itself falling on Saturday June 27 this year.

Cllr Spencer said: “We fly this flag in Bromsgrove as a symbol of our support for all the men and women of our armed forces, past and present, who face such difficult challenges on our behalf.”
