Bromsgrove business leaders are being urged to join forces to make their voice heard.

The Bromsgrove Partnership’s Economic Theme Group is inviting new members to get involved and network with public and third sector representatives.

The partnership includes the Bromsgrove District Council’s Chief Executive, Cabinet Member and Head of Service for Economic Development who listen and respond to local businesses.

These conversations help the Council to create its local economic development priorities and in turn businesses can get information about developing policies and grant schemes.

In a bid to get more business leaders involved, the Council has launched a video and interviewed the current chair and vice-chair of the group.

Rob Spittle is Managing Director of Operations at Guest Truck and Van, which covers Bromsgrove, and has been a member of the Economic Development Theme Group for almost 2 years and the Chair for the past 9 months.

He said: “My work is fundamentally business to business, and I know that as a business community we can get stuck in our own silos.  Not only is it, from a personal point of view, a networking opportunity, but by working together we can make a difference and have more influence with key members of our communities and public sector organisations, like the Council.”
