16005 Chairman Invites All To Burns Supper Credit Andrew Dyke 2

Come and celebrate the life and poetry of Robert Burns at a special Burns Night Supper in Bromsgrove - complete with piper and haggis, neeps and tatties. 

The Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council Cllr Caroline Spencer is hosting the event on Friday 29th January at in the Parkside Suite in the town centre. 

The main course meal will follow a tot of whisky – or orange juice – to toast the haggis, after it has been piped into the room, presented to everyone, and had the traditional Robert Burns poetry read over it. There will also be a display of dancing by the Hagley Scottish Dancing Group.

Cllr Spencer said: “I’d like to invite everyone to come and join us to celebrate the wonderful Robbie Burns, and enjoy the traditional haggis, that ‘great chieftain of the pudding race’, together!” 

There will also be a raffle draw in aid of the Chairman’s charities The Basement Project and Libby Mae’s Little Angels. 

It will start at 7.30pm for 8pm, with carriages at 11pm. 

Tickets are £17.50 person, with party bookings welcome.  They can be ordered until Thursday January 21 by contacting the Chairman's office here.

You are invited to bring your own drinks and glasses, as there are no bar facilities available on the night.
