Christmas promises to be Better than ever in Bromsgrove as partners have come together to put on a Festive spectacular across the District.

From santa-selfies, best dressed window competitions and festive markets to reindeer hunts, lantern parades and switch-ons across the District, there’s something for everyone

Bromsgrove District Council has joined forces with partners including Artrix, Friends of St John’s and CJ events to pull all the events together under one umbrella - ‘Better Bromsgrove.’

The Council’s portfolio-holder for economic development and Deputy Leader Cllr Karen May said: “I am dedicated to creating a Better Bromsgrove for people to visit and live and work in.

“We already have lots of groups and organisations who are working hard to do this too and by pulling all this positive energy together we will have the best Christmas that the District has ever seen.”

TC Peppercorn, Learning and Engagement Co-ordinator at Artrix Arts Centre, said: “I’m really looking forward to helping families make lanterns for the parade.

“This will be a really exciting event and we’re delighted to be working with partners in
Bromsgrove to help create a truly memorable experience this Christmas.’

Jo Slade, Marketing Manager for Friends of St John’s, said: “We are delighted to be putting on this Christmas market which builds on the success of last year and showcases our local traders.

“It will add to the festive feel that will be sweeping across the District this year.”

The Council’s Centres Manager Cheryl Welsh, said: “I am really proud to support the Christmas events across the District Centres and it’s great to see Hagley and Barnt Green holding their own Christmas lights switch-on this year.

“I look forward to working with my centres in the New Year with exciting plans and by working together we can create a Better Bromsgrove.

A Better Bromsgrove Together brochure will be falling through letterboxes this week along with the local newspaper. It lists all the events which are happening across the District this Christmas and news from the Council. An electronic version is available here.
