Churchfields Multi Storey

Works to improve the security and appearance of Churchfields Multi-Storey Car Park are continuing from Monday.

From 25th July, contractors will be onsite to install brand new security doors to make the building more secure. Works will start with removing the old doors to make way for the new ones.

The new doors are fire rated, secure and automated to make the building safer.

Once the doors are in place the stairwells will be closed sequentially in August for redecoration.

The works may cause some disruption to car park users during this time.

Matthew Mead, Senior Engineering Technician, said: “We apologise for any disruption caused to car park users during this time and hope to get the works completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. The old doors to the car park are in parts badly damaged through wear and tear as well as misuse, so the new doors will definitely improve the safety and security of the car park.”
