A charity fire walk, food and a fun fair will join live music at this year’s best-ever family friendly bonfire, music and fireworks spectacular at Sanders Park.

Headliners The Urban Folk Quartet (UFQ) will be supported by Bromsgrove singer Jasmine Rawlings.

It’s on Saturday the 5th November from 5pm, with music from the start, the fire walk from 6pm, the bonfire lit at 7pm, and fireworks set off at 7.30pm.

Bromsgrove District Council hosts the event in partnership with Worcestershire cancer support charity Primrose Hospice, which receives a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales.

Cllr Peter Whittaker, portfolio holder for leisure and culture services, said: “We’re excited for this year’s top quality entertainment and it’s a double charity event this time. Primrose Hospice will once again share in any proceeds from ticket sales, and Sight Concern are doing a thrilling fire walk, so at the end of the day it’s not just a fun event that brings people together from across the community but it helps good causes too.”

The Sight Concern fire walk is raising money to support blind and partially sighted people in Worcestershire to lead independent and fulfilling lives. You can register to take part by calling 01905 332914. It costs just £5 to register and walkers are asked to raise as much as possible in sponsorship. All walkers will get a certificate and photograph of their daring deed, and there’s a t-shirt for anyone raising more than £150.

Tickets are the same price as last year, with two adults and two children £14, or £5 adults and £3 children with under twos going free. They are on sale now from the Primrose Hospice shops and the district council’s Parkside Customer Service Centre, or there will be cash-only sales from a High Street market stall on 4th and 5th November 11am-3pm, as well as on the gate on the evening from 5pm.

Like every year Kidderminster Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5pm on the night to ensure the safety of the thousands of revellers. Ample parking is available in several town car parks a short distance away. More information on car parks is available here.
