Sanders Park will be getting a makeover next week as works to fill in potholes around the park is completed.

On Tuesday 26th April, works to fill in various potholes around the park – including paths and in the car park – will be taking place.

There are a number of holes being filled in and resurfaced including a large one at the entrance of the park.

Residents are advised that from 9am there may be traffic management in place and some paths in the park may be closed. Work is expected to be completed the same day.

Rod Laight, whose portfolio covers Leisure and Cultural Services, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to residents whilst the work is taking place and hope to get it completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Whilst the work may cause some disruption to visitors on Tuesday, it is essential that it is completed in order to improve the park ready to receive lots of visitors throughout the spring and summer as the weather improves.”
