Street Link Web (2)

Bromsgrove District Council is using technology to help them provide support to even more people who find themselves homeless.

Streetlink is an England-wide phone line web app and mobile which enables the public, via them, to alert local authorities about people sleeping rough in their area.

Kit Taylor, Portfolio for Strategic Housing at Bromsgrove Council says, "The Council  works hard to provide a housing options advice service and housing to people in housing need". “However, for a variety of reasons, people may find themselves sleeping rough and they often fall under our radar".

“Streetlink helps us to identify and support these people and work towards there being ‘No Second Night Out’ for them.”

Wherever possible the Council will work to prevent homelessness happening in the first place. If you are in need of housing advice contact our Housing Options Team on  Bromsgrove District Housing Trust 0800 0850 1600 or take a look at our housing options pages

You can also tell Streetlink about the location of someone sleeping rough via the website, www.streetlink.org.uk mobile app or phone line 0300 500 0914. Streetlink will pass this on to relevant local services so that they can be found and connected with the support they need.
