Voluntary, charitable and community groups in Bromsgrove District are being invited once again to bid for grants of up to £500 for local projects.

Bromsgrove District Council is making more grants available for activities that address community issues and support wider community involvement and equality through its Small Grants Scheme.

Bids for grants to support projects to be delivered between this November and April next year can be made from 9am on September 1 until the deadline of 4pm on Monday October 2.

Anyone interested in the grants can find out more at the next meeting of the Bromsgrove Engagement and Equalities Forum, which helps to deliver the scheme in partnership with the district council. The meeting is on Thursday September 7 from 6pm until 8pm (refreshments from 5.30pm) in the Committee Room at Parkside, Market Street, Bromsgrove B61 8DA.

Cllr Karen May, Deputy Leader of Bromsgrove District Council, said: “The voluntary and community sector provides valuable services to our residents and the district, and we are pleased to support small projects that make a big difference.

“If you are thinking about applying this year, or you just want to know more, then a visit to the upcoming Bromsgrove Engagement and Equalities Forum meeting might be just the thing.”
