Loved-up Bromsgrove residents are being are being urged to shop local to make sure they celebrate Valentine’s Day in style!

The Council has teamed up with local businesses to showcase what they have offer and have organised a love-ly giveaway to give romance a helping hand.

Traders from the town centre and Bromsgrove’s Centres, including Hagley and Barnt Green, have donated their wares for lucky lovebirds to enjoy.

Bromsgrove District Council’s Portfolio-holder for Economic Development, Cllr Karen May, said: “The Council is committed to developing an economic strategy which will see the District grow and prosper. But it’s also about recognising what treasures we already have on our doorstep.
“Our independent traders can offer something a little bit different for that someone special – and is just another reason to Love Bromsgrove!”

To be a winner in the ‘Better Bromsgrove Love’ competition all you need to do is tweet #BetterBromsgroveLove to @bromsgrovedc or like and share the ‘Better Bromsgrove Love’ post on the Council’s Facebook page. The prizes will be put together in  ‘love packages’ so there’s five chances to win!

Bromsgrove’s Centres Manager Cheryl Welsh said: “Our Better Bromsgrove Love campaign is all about loving your local independent shops.
“This is a great giveaway too so thanks go to all our traders for supporting this – but remember, your local trader isn’t just for Valentine’s Day. Take this chance to rediscover your town and villages.”
