B17010 Reduced Parking Due To Surface Water Culvert Works

A small section of Bromsgrove's Parkside car park will be unavailable for approximately 6 weeks to assist essential engineering works to be undertaken on behalf of Worcestershire County Council.

The works are due to commence on Monday 6 February and briefly consist of the structural improvements to the existing surface water culvert, located between the Queen’s Head public house, Domino's and Parkside car park.

During the works nine district council owned parking bays located on the south west side of that car park will be unavailable to the public in order to assist the contractor to site portakabins and other vehicles.

There will also be no pedestrian access between Domino's and the Queen’s Head whilst the works are taking place. However, we have been advised that a temporary pedestrian diversion route will be in place.

Cllr Karen May, whose portfolio covers regeneration, said: “The works will undoubtedly mean some disruption to pedestrians and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by them. Our aim is to assist in the quick and efficient completion of these essential works by enabling the County Council contractor to use Parkside car park.”
