B17048 Skate And BMX Event Rolls Into Town

Pro skaters and BMXers will demonstrate their skills in Bromsgrove at a public skate ramp being put up in the High Street this holiday.

Three pro riders, top skaters Daryl Dominguez and Solihull-born Kris Vile, as well as NASS BMX winner Jack Clark, will be at the temporary ramp where there will be free public sessions and workshops in between skills displays.

The event by King Ramps is in the Housman Statue event space on Saturday August 19, 10am – 3pm.

It’s the latest event under Bromsgrove District Council’s Better Bromsgrove project that’s being delivered by North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWedR).

Cllr Karen May, Bromsgrove District Council’s portfolio holder for economic development and the town centre, said: “The skate parks across the district are always buzzing with young people and we’re delighted to take that up a level for this event and welcome top quality pro skating and BMX into the town centre.

“Everyone is welcome on the day whether to just watch the professionals at work, take part and learn from them, or just soak up the atmosphere on another bustling market Saturday in Bromsgrove.”
