The organisers of GlastonBeoley festival are “wasting” no time in planning for next year’s event thanks to the support of Bromsgrove District Council’s Commercial Waste Service.

GlastonBeoley and Bromsgrove District Council’s Commercial Waste Service are proud to announce that they will be supporting the 2022 event, providing waste options for festival goers as well as becoming an official sponsor of the main stage.

Both organisations worked together for the first-time last year when BDC’s Commercial Waste Team provided waste services for the event and assisted with the post-event clean-up.

Cllr Margaret Sherrey, whose portfolio covers Environmental Services, said: “GlastonBeoley has become a very popular event for people of Bromsgrove and nearby neighbours in Redditch.

“The roots of the Commercial Services Team are forged by the communities we serve as a council, so we are proud to be able to support this charity event again, which does good for local people, as well as helping to make sure that it’s an enjoyable and clean event for all festival goers.

“Festivals can leave a lot of mess and the clean-up operation can be intense. With our wonderful pink and yellow bins at next year’s festival, you’ll be hard pushed to say you couldn’t find somewhere suitable to put your rubbish!”

Debbie Joynes, from GlastonBeoley, said: “We’re so pleased to have Bromsgrove District Council’s Commercial Waste Team on board again this year with their wonderful community-led approach to their service.

“Everything is starting to fall into place already for next year’s festival. The Bees is booked, the stages are booked, stall holders are signing up, musicians are generously volunteering to play – all we need now is our audience! It’s all go! Don’t miss out on our early bird tickets - if you are stuck for Christmas present ideas for friends or family, look no further!”

GlastonBeoley is an annual music festival which aims to raise money for local charities and community organisations whilst putting on a mix of professional and local acts for visitors to enjoy.

Next year’s festival is set to take place on 18th and 19th June 2022.

Any charities, CICs or community groups interested in receiving support from GlastonBeoley 2022, should get in touch with them as soon as possible as charity announcements we will be made in January 2022.

This year, the event supported Night Stop, Noah’s Star, Redditch Baby Bank and Special Olympics.
