The park
Lickey End Recreation Ground is a small 6.12 acre park situated on the outskirts of Lickey End, Bromsgrove; next to the B4096 Alcester Road.
As well as being a well-used recreation area, the park holds a valuable array of habitats and endangered species such as Water Voles.
What the park has to offer
- The site is well accommodated, with a small car park suitable for approximately 18 cars.
- There is a well-equipped playground suitable for toddlers and Juniors which was refurbished in spring 2024.
- Two Junior football pitches with changing rooms. Supporting the Catshill Football Club “Wildcats” Girls under 5’s to under 18’s.
- Outdoor Gym Equipment.
- Small hard standing ball court area.
- Plenty of green open space suitable for recreational activities and picnicking.
- Benches around the park.
- Short walks around the recreation ground and through the 1.3 acre woodland.
- Links to a network of public footpaths beyond the park out towards Burcot around Lickey End Village.
- Spadesbourne Brook runs along the edge of the park and provides an important habitat for Water Voles.
