Bishops Wood Centre
Bring outdoor learning to life by visiting the
Bishops Wood Centre to experience some inspirational programmes!
The Centre offers a wide range of curriculum based visits for
schools, outreach programmes, accredited forest school training, a
programme of CPD courses and a fantastic outdoor learning
environment. There's also a successful vocation based
learning programme for students aged 11 to 19. Offering an ideal
environment for staff training and away days, either with staff
leading or facilitating, the Centre also has a variety of rooms
suitable for training, meetings and conferences. Catering is from
local caterers who use local suppliers where possible and all
refreshments are Fair Trade. Bishops
Wood is a unique 70 acre site located just off the A449 towards
Stourport, 15 minutes from Junction 6 of the M5.

across the key stages through our sites at Worcester City Art
Gallery & Museum, The Commandery and Worcestershire County

Outdoor and Environmental Learning
Our outdoor and environmental learning service
offer a variety of outdoor education activities through centres at
Llanrug and Upton Warren. The sites offer residential and
non-residential curriculum-based learning courses for students and
training for visit leaders. Programmes of activities, including
Duke of Edinburgh, will be tailored to meet group and individual
requirements using the medium of outdoor adventurous activities as
a vehicle to learning. Personal skills training, team building and
