Why do we collect this information?
We need the personal information you supply on this form so that we can arrange the lease for the burial plot you have been allocated. This is a contract that forms the legal basis for our processing.
What information is collected?
- Your name, address, phone number, signature
- Burial plot details
- Name and age of deceased
- Confirmation of plot ownership/transfer of ownership (where required)
Who has access to the information?
This information will be accessible to the staff working in the Bereavement Services teams at Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council. The details required to prepare the plot for burial are shared with the Environmental Place teams at Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council.
This information might be shared with your funeral director with your permission. If the plot ownership is being transferred, your solicitor or the Commissioner for Oaths will sign the relevant part of the form.
Your information will not be shared with or sold to any other service or organisation unless we have a duty to do so under law.
Is the information sent outside the EEA?
This information will not be transferred outside of the European Economic Area.
How long is the information kept?
The information will be kept for the length of the lease plus one year.
