Refill Piccy

A retro and vintage café in Rubery has become the tenth business to sign up to a national Refill scheme.

Polly Put The Kettle On, in High Street, signed up to the scheme which sees passers-by fill their water bottles, at her premises, for free

The national initiative has been driven by Bromsgrove District Council’s Centres Manager Cheryl Welsh, in a bid to reduce the use of single-use plastics.

Ten businesses, including a tattoo studio in Catshill and a flooring outlet in the town centre, are now featured on a special App which means shoppers can rehydrate for free.

Cheryl said: “This is great news and I am delighted at how supportive our local businesses have been.

“It’s great promotion for them and also means less plastic is being put into the already huge and not very tasty soup!"

Businesses can still sign up to the app by calling Cheryl Welsh on 07977 207718. The app can be downloaded at
