Bromsgrove Community Hero Awards 2024

As part of Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, Safer Bromsgrove will be co-ordinating a Community Hero Award Ceremony to take place on Thursday 4th July. The ceremony will present awards in four different categories that reflect community activity in addressing ASB and members of the public will be able to nominate people/groups in their local neighbourhood to receive recognition of their efforts.

The categories of award are:

Youth Award – this award will be open to young people aged 18 - 25 and organisations who work with young people. The award will recognise a project or piece of work that has supported the reduction of anti-social behaviour within a local community and has resulted in people feeling safer.

Communities Award – This award will be open to any adult or group within a community that has undertaken a project or piece of work to support the reduction of anti-social behaviour in their area and has resulted in people feeling safer.

Business Award – This will be open to any business operating in the Borough that has undertaken a project or piece of work to support the reduction of anti-social behaviour within their community and has resulted in people feeling safer.

Extra Mile Award – This will be given to recognise an extraordinary individual / group / business or community leader who actions have gone above and beyond to reduce anti-social behaviour within their community, resulting in increased feeling of safety for residents and/or visitors.

Nomination for the awards will be open from Friday 3rd May, until close at midnight on 31st May. Nomination will be reviewed by a panel of CSP partners to agree who will receive a formal award in each category.
