The 2006 Conference was held to launch the consultation on the Inclusive Equalities Scheme which can be downloaded here: Inclusive Equalities scheme.
A review of the Scheme was published in December 2009 which can be downloaded here .
The Inclusive Equalities Scheme is the District Council’s vision on how to improve equality of access to services for all sections of the community including disabled people, black and Asian minority ethnic people, members of religious and faith groups, lesbian, gay and trans-gender members of the community, younger and older age groups – all of whom have differing needs. The Scheme was extended by agreement with community members to end in June 2011 and will not be replaced with a new Scheme at this time.
