. In December 2009 We published a review
of our achievements as part of the Review of the Inclusive
Equalities Scheme which you can view
here.
We recognise that the commitments made in the Disability
Equality Scheme have been subject to change over the last four
years.
We are constantly listening to feedback from disabled people
and we set up a Disabled Users Group in December 2007 to
monitor our work to implement the Scheme. The group met regularly
for four years and agreed to disband in April 2011 with many of the
original projects now completed. The Council has now established a
more formal link with the Bromsgrove Disabled Access group and
continues to work pro-actively on various disability access issues
and disability equality initiatives.
You can get a copy of the Easy Read Disability Equality Scheme
