Benefits

There are numerous national welfare benefits available to financially assist those on a low income or have children or are over pensionable age or who are unable to work due to an illness or disability.  These Benefits are administered by a number of different government departments which include the Local Authority, The Department for Work and Pensions and The Inland Revenue.

Local Authority

The Local Authority (your Local Council, i.e. Bromsgrove District Council) is responsible for the administration of the following Benefits:

- Housing Benefit

- Council Tax Benefit

- Second Adult Rebate
