Business Rates
The non-domestic rates, or business rates are collected
by local councils and are the means by which businesses and others
who occupy non-domestic property make a contribution to the costs
of local services.
The rates collected are pooled by central government and
redistributed to local councils according to the number of people
living in the area. This money, together with the revenue
from council taxpayers and grants provided by the government is
used to pay for the services provided by your local council and
other local authorities in your area.

Business Rates - Freedom Of Information Requests
Bromsgrove District Council receive many Freedom Of Information
requests relating to properties that are empty within the district
and details of businesses that have either credits on their
accounts or have had outstanding credits "written off".

individuals as the provision of this data is exempt from
