Prizes for best-dressed festive fronts

Bromsgrove District Council is set to award prizes to the best decorated shop windows in Bromsgrove in the run up to Christmas.

The Chairman of the Council will award a winning prize of £150 and two runner-up prizes of £50 to the shop displays that he judges to be the best during the week of December 14.

Shops do not need to register to enter for the prizes, only an attractive window display with a suitably Christmas theme is required for a shop to be considered.

Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council Cllr. Chris Scurrell said: “Everyone likes to see beautifully dressed shop windows at Christmas time, and so we are pleased to offer encouragement and incentive to our local shopkeepers to brighten up the town and perhaps even pull in some extra festive business.”

The prizes, including a framed certificate for the winner, will be presented before Christmas.
