Celebrating in Style!

Bromsgrove
residents are being invited to celebrate International Women’s Day
in style on Friday 5 March.
An Evening Fashion Extravaganza to raise
awareness of the Day will be hosted by Bromsgrove District Council
at the Spadesbourne Suite of the Council House.
Fashion fans will be in for a treat at the
Extravaganza as Inkberrow Design Centre students take to the
catwalk to exhibit their unique collection, as seen at the Clothes
Show Live at the Nation Exhibition Centre.
A range of stunning garments will also be on
display from local retailers Echo Vintage Clothing, Début of
Hagley, Simply Wedding and Parties and 2nd Skin
Lingerie.
Other attractions include a performance from
the Stage Door Dance Academy and an exhibition of fashion
accessories, jewellery, health and beauty, gift wear and more.
Doors open at 6pm for browse and buy opportunities, and the show
starts at 7.30pm.
Chairman of the Council Cllr Chris Scurrell
said “In 2010 International Women’s Day is again about raising
awareness and celebrating women’s achievements for all women, and I
am delighted that the Council is celebrating it like this. I hope
this year’s event is as successful as in previous years.”
Proceeds raised will go to the Chairman’s
chosen charities, Noah’s Ark Trust, British Heart Foundation and
Midlands Air Ambulance.
