Window wonderland winner
A
Bromsgrove jeweller is celebrating after coming first in the
District Council’s “Best Christmas Window” competition for town
centre retailers.
Cupitt Jeweller of the Strand, Bromsgrove,
scooped the first prize of £150 and also received a bottle of
champagne from the Chairman of the Council Cllr Chris Scurrell.
Two runners-up awards were also presented to
town centre shops with bright Christmas displays. Bromsgrove High
Street newcomer Elements Fashion Jewellery caught the eye with a
silver-themed window, and the Regency Tea Rooms’ festive display
brightened up the bottom end of the High Street. Each claimed
£50.
Proprietor of Cupitt Jeweller Simon Cupitt
said: “Winning the competition is an honour and great recognition
for my fantastic staff who put real effort into all our window
displays.”
Council Chairman Chris Scurrell said: “We
considered over twenty shops that had made a good effort to
decorate their window displays with some festive cheer.
“Congratulations to Cupitt, a long-established
business which always seems to put on an attractive Christmas
presentation. We hope all our retailers and market traders had a
good Christmas season this year.”
