Make a splash with free and half-price
swimming
For the third year running Bromsgrove District
Council is offering discounted swimming sessions for children and
young people aged 2-19 years!*
Bromsgrove District Council’s Sports
Development Officer (Youth Provision) Ali Discombe said: “We are
very pleased to be able to run this service again, as the summer
holidays are the ideal time to be encouraging young people to go
swimming. We are lucky enough to be able to offer these discounts
through Sport Unlimited funding, to encourage children and young
people to get active. And what better way than by cutting the costs
of activities during summer!”
The success of the scheme in previous years is
also thanks to the support of local partners including the Dolphin
Centre, North Worcestershire School Sport Partnership and
Worcestershire County Council Extended Services.
All that is required to enter the free
swimming scheme is turn up to a free swim day on Monday July 26 at
the Dolphin Centre, complete a registration form and redeem your
first free swim session. You will then be provided with a card
which offers a further 5 half price sessions and 2 FREE sessions,
to be used before the 1st October!
The free swim day on Monday 26th July sees two
free public sessions from 9.00am-1.00pm and 4.00pm-6.00pm for all
children aged 2-19 years old. All children under eight must be
accompanied by an adult.
