Bromsgrove District Council Consultation Conferences

Striving for Equality

A Community Consultation Conference was held in Bromsgrove on Saturday 26th September 2009. This was the third Conference to be held in the last 3 years. Over sixty community members and organisations got together with District and Parish Councillors and officers to discuss a range of topics including Council Priorities and Equality and Diversity.

You can download the report of the conference here "Community Consultation Conference - 26th September 2009 - Report"

These Conferences are held every 18 months and the next one is scheduled for April 2011.

The previous Conference was held on 12th April 2008. You can download the report here: Consultation conference April 2008.

The first Consultation Conference was held on 23rd September 2006 and the report can be downloaded here: Consultation conference September 2006.

The first Conference was held to launch the consultation period on the Inclusive Equalities Scheme which was formally published on 4th December 2006. The Inclusive Equalities Scheme can be downloaded here: Inclusive Equalities scheme.

The Inclusive Equalities Scheme is the District Council’s vision on how to improve the quality of access to services for all sections of the community including disabled people, black and Asian minority ethnic groups, religious groups, lesbian, gay and trans-gender members of the community, younger and older age groups – all of whom have differing needs.
