Grounds Maintenance

Bromsgrove District Council’s Grounds Maintenance Department is responsible for planting of Council owned flower beds, cutting Council owned grass verges, public open spaces within the district and County owned verges in urban areas.

  • Grass cutting is carried out during the months April to September on a 2- 3 weekly schedule (weather permitting)
  • Shrub, hedge and tree maintenance is carried during the months October to March

We are sensitive to the needs of the wildlife in the area and will adjust the maintenance undertaken accordingly so as not to affect their habitat.

We also maintain the flower beds/grass on the following road traffic islands within the District:

  • Puddle Wharf
  • Buntsford Hill
  • Morrisons
  • Slideslow
  • Thistle Island (David Lloyd)
  • Fairfield
  • Hagley
  • Bordesley
  • Barnt Green
  • Hopwood
  • Cofton
