Recycling is Getting Easier

Thank you for your help in recycling over 40% of all household waste over the last year! With your help we ranked 56th out of all 394 authorities. In order to improve your refuse and recycling collections we will be changing the way we collect recycling and garden waste in 2010.

  • From April 2010 we will collect recyclable items from a green wheeled bin instead of boxes
  • From March 2010 We will collect garden waste from a brown wheeled bin (Chargeable service)
  • We will continue collecting grey bins on the alternate week to green and brown bins

Email recycling@bromsgrove.gov.uk if you would like to receive email bulletin updates about these changes

EnviroSort will also allow us to expand the range of items we can currently collect. We will advise you closer to the time exactly what materials you will be able to recycle. You will be able to keep your old recycling boxes or you can drop them off at our depot should you not wish to keep them.

You can also find out more about the Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy (JMWMS) for Herefordshire & Worcestershire through the Worcestershire County Council Website. The JMWMS is a framework for waste management and planned developments within these areas.
