Elected representatives

Bromsgrove District Council has 39 elected members (Councillors), who represent 23 different wards in the District.

The smaller wards are represented by one Councillor, the larger ones have two (or, in the case of the Alvechurch Ward, three) Councillors. Most of the present Members were elected in May 2007.

Political Representation on the Council

Of the 39 Councillors, there are:-

  • 26 Conservative Councillors;
  • 6 Independent / Wythall Residents' Association Coalition Councillors;
  • 6 Labour Councillors; and
  • 1 'unaffiliated' Councillor.

Most day to day matters affecting the Council are dealt with by its paid officials at The Council House, on Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove.
