Industrial Pollution Control

Overview

Under the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1999 and the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 in order to operate legally, specified industrial processes where there is the potential for significant emissions to the atmosphere must have a permit.

Such a permit can be granted by Bromsgrove District Council, or for larger or complex processes, the Environment Agency.

This part of the website will outline the legal requirements of industry in relation to pollution control, and also provide information about regulated industrial processes within Bromsgrove District.
