The Local Development Framework

In September 2004 a new planning system was introduced which replaced the old style Local Plans with the Local Development Framework (LDF). The LDF is intended to be a folder of documents which deal with different topics and areas, the links below all contain more detailed information on the documents which will form the Bromsgrove LDF.

Draft Core Strategy 2 - Consultation Responses

The Draft Core Strategy 2 was consulted on between 21st January and 5th April 2011. There were a total of 2,248 representations from individuals and organisations, as well as two petitions. All of the duly made representations (summaries) on the Draft Core Strategy 2 are now available to view online via the links below or the main Core Strategy page. Hard copies of these representations are also available to view at the Council House in Bromsgrove.

Regional Spatial Strategies

Regional Strategies, including the West Midlands Regional Spatial Strategy (WMRSS), were revoked by the coalition government in July 2010. The revocation of RSS', was ruled unlawful by the High Court on the 10th November 2010.

However, on 19th November 2010 CALA Homes commenced proceedings against the Government's insistence that the ruling changes little and are seeking a court declaration that its intention to revoke RSS is not a material consideration.

WMRSS Phase 2 Revision Panel Report

Following the EiP, the Panel prepared a Report of findings and recommendations on the draft Regional Spatial Strategy. This Report was published on Monday 28th September. The report can be downloaded by the following links:
