Why do some applications appear on weekly lists but the Parish
has not been notified?
There are certain types of application such as Agricultural
applications, Telecommunication applications and Overhead lines
applications where the applicant is deemed to have consent to carry
out the development unless the Local authority require details of
siting, design or appearance.
Similarly there are applications which are dealt with by the
County Council who consult the Local Authority in relation
to a proposed development i.e. mining operations or
educational establishments.
All of these various applications are recorded in the Local
Authority system to enable statistical returns to be sent to
the Department for Communities and Local Government. However they
are not planning applications and there is no requirement to carry
out consultation.
The application type is indicated on the Application Details tab
of Public Access, so you should be able to determine for yourselves
if an application falls into one of these categories.
