Housing

On the 29th March 2004 the Council transferred its housing stock to the newly formed Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (BDHT). BDHT are now the largest social landlord in the District managing over 3,000 dwellings. On behalf of the Council, BDHT also operate the Council's housing register, nominate tenants for RSL dwellings that become available and carry out the assessment of homeless applications and provide temporary accommodation where appropriate. The management function for the temporary accommodation and the Houndsfield Lane Caravan Site which remain in the ownership of the Council is carried out by BDHT.
