Housing Options
Bromsgrove District Council are working in partnership
with Bromsgrove District Housing Trust to help encourage those
people of the district who find themselves in housing need to seek
assistance and advice as soon as possible, so that they know what
options are available to them.
Officers at BDHT will give every
applicant a Housing Options Interview where they will discuss their
personal situation and make them aware of what options are
available to them.
Options Available
- Mediation Service to help resolve issues that may be
experiencing with family member of friend that has affected their
housing.
- Support to access the Private Rented Sector, through Step Up
Private Tenancy Scheme and Basement Private Tenancy Scheme.
- Negotiation on your behalf with landlord
- Advice on Supported Accommodation and referrals if
required.
- Advice on low cost home ownership options
- Advice on how to access social housing in the district
- Completing referrals for floating support where they have
identified the applicant has a need.
- Referrals to CAB for debt counselling
Officers at
BDHT
are committed to
helping people to prevent themselves from becoming homeless and
where this is not possible assisting them with a planned move into
suitable accommodation.
