What is a Sustainable Community Strategy - SCS
A Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) sets out the overall strategic direction and long-term vision for the economic, social and environmental well-being of the local area and the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is responsible for delivering it.
A SCS addresses matters which are important to the whole community - those who live in, work in and visit the area. Such issues are identified through consultation, government policy and stakeholder meetings. The aim is to provide a co-ordinated approach to address issues that matter to local people and improve the quality of life for everyone.
