The students, with the help of Ludic Rooms’ Artistic Directors Dom and Anna, used a program called Artivive to create geo-located animations that bought sections of the mosaics to life. The students from across Redditch and Bromsgrove then showcased their work to the public as part of the project and the development of their skills, on the 21st of April 2023, with members of the public exclaiming ‘fantastic’ and ‘clever’

The animations are still live, simply go to your mobile device’s app store and download the “Artivive” App and then head to Millward Square in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre to scan the mosaics.

The project provided real world design experience for the students working with a leading creative company in the sector. One of the students, Oscar said: “I’m glad we’ve given people a new appreciation for the artwork. I was excited to work on the project as I’ve always enjoyed the mosaics, having interpreted references to Star Wars within them as a youngster!”
