Volunteering in the Starting Well Partnership

If you are a parent/carer, grandparent, someone with parenting experience or you wish to pursue a career working with families, this could be the role for you.

Our volunteers bring invaluable skills and experience to our services and they are important team members. Volunteering could help you with preparing for employment, developing confidence and skills.

Volunteering roles

Community Hub Volunteer: Supporting our Baby Self Weigh clinics and/or assisting the community team at events for parents and children.

Start for Life Peer Supporter: Offering one to one support to parents during pregnancy up and until their child is aged 2. This will be in the family home and community venues.

Breast Buddy Peer Supporter: Mothers or grandmothers who are passionate about breastfeeding & have a desire to help parents at our face-to-face Breastfeeding Peer support groups in Redditch and Bromsgrove.

Parenting Peer Supporter: Supporting group leaders with the delivery of a wide range of parenting courses; helping to set up the room and supporting with the delivery of course content if desired.

Community Hub Admin Volunteer: Covering reception in hubs and basic admin support.

School Health Volunteer: Supporting the School Nurses to measure children’s height, weight, and audiometry for Children in reception and year 6.
